Dropped in the pool, sea or caught in rain? Act fast — don't charge it, bring it in. Our recovery rate is 80%+ when treated within 24 hours.
The most important rule: DO NOT charge your iPhone if it has been wet. This is the single most common way a recoverable device becomes destroyed.
Immediate steps if your iPhone got wet:
Do NOT put it in rice. The rice myth is persistent but has been debunked repeatedly. Rice does nothing to remove moisture from inside the device and the starch can actually make cleaning harder. You're wasting critical time that could save your phone.
Phuket's environment is uniquely challenging for electronics. Between the beach activities, pool parties, water parks, snorkelling trips, tropical rainstorms, and high humidity — phones get wet here constantly. We see water damage cases every single day of the year, and we've developed specific expertise in Phuket's unique damage patterns: sea salt corrosion, chlorine damage from pools, and monsoon rain ingress.
Even "waterproof" iPhone 15 models with IP68 ratings fail here regularly. The IP68 seal degrades over time and the rating only covers still, fresh water — not waves, pool chemicals, or pressurised water. Plus, a single hairline crack from a previous drop can completely defeat the water resistance.
| Service | Price | Timeframe |
|---|---|---|
| Ultrasonic cleaning + diagnosis | ฿1,500 | 2–3 hours |
| Full repair (cleaning + component replacement) | ฿1,500–฿3,500 | Same day |
| Board-level microsoldering repair | ฿2,500–฿4,500 | 1–2 days |
| Data recovery (water damaged) | From ฿2,000 | 1–3 days |
We always quote after the diagnostic inspection and before doing any work. If the repair isn't possible or isn't cost-effective, we'll tell you honestly — no charge for the diagnostic if the device is unrecoverable.
Salt water (sea) is the most damaging — salt crystals form as the water evaporates and continue causing corrosion for days. Highest urgency.
Pool water (chlorinated) is also highly corrosive due to chlorine. Second highest urgency.
Fresh water / rain is least corrosive. Still requires prompt treatment but recovery rates are highest.
Regardless of water type, time is the critical factor. A phone dropped in the sea and brought to us within 1 hour has an excellent chance of full recovery. The same phone left overnight has a much lower chance.
